Full-arch tooth replacement

All-on-4 Implants in Aventura

Replace a full arch of missing teeth with four implants and a fixed set of teeth that does not come out. Dr. David S. Bistritz plans every case with 3D imaging before any procedure begins.

All-on-4 Implants

Why patients choose all-on-4 implants

  • No slipping

The arch is fixed in place — no clicking or movement like traditional dentures.

  • Natural looking

A custom-matched prosthetic blends with your smile and facial structure.

  • Strong chewing

Chewing force is similar to natural teeth, so eating feels normal again.

  • Often less grafting

The two angled posterior implants maximize the bone you already have, reducing the need for bone grafting in many cases.

What All-on-4 implants are

All-on-4 implants are a full-arch tooth replacement solution that uses four strategically placed dental implants to support a complete set of fixed replacement teeth. Unlike individual implants, the All-on-4 concept replaces an entire upper or lower arch with fewer implants, reducing the need for bone grafting and shortening treatment time.

The implants act as artificial tooth roots. They preserve jawbone structure and provide a secure foundation for a natural-looking prosthetic arch that is fixed in place rather than removed at night.

Who it is for

  • Patients missing most or all of the teeth in an arch, or whose remaining teeth are no longer restorable.
  • Denture wearers who find traditional dentures uncomfortable or unstable and want a fixed solution.
  • Patients with adequate or graftable bone — the angled posterior implants use bone in areas where density is often better preserved.
  • People ready to commit to consistent home care and routine professional cleanings and checkups.

What makes treatment here different

Dr. David S. Bistritz founded Aventura Dental Center in 1989 and has more than 37 years of experience in general, restorative and cosmetic dentistry. He plans every full-arch case with 3D imaging, so implant positions are mapped before surgery day. Because the practice also provides dental implants, crowns and bridges, dentures and full mouth reconstruction, your options are compared honestly — patients regularly say no one here pressures them into treatment.

Key features of the treatment include a full arch restored on just four implants, tilted posterior implants that maximize existing bone, digital planning for precise placement, a custom acrylic or porcelain fixed arch, compatibility with upper and lower arches, and a same-day temporary teeth option in many cases. Many dental insurance plans provide partial coverage.

How it works

From first visit to final result

  • 1. Exam and 3D imaging

A comprehensive exam with 3D imaging evaluates bone density and maps exact implant positions before any procedure begins.

  • 2. Implant placement

Any teeth that cannot be saved are removed, then four implants are placed — two upright in the front, two angled toward the back.

  • 3. Temporary fixed arch

In many cases a provisional fixed arch is attached the same day while the implants integrate with bone, typically over 4–6 months.

  • 4. Final custom arch

Once healing is confirmed, the permanent custom arch is fabricated and secured to the implants, with follow-up visits to check fit and healing.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

  • Traditional dental implants replace individual teeth, each requiring its own implant post. All-on-4 uses just four strategically placed implants to support an entire arch of replacement teeth. The angled positioning of the posterior implants often allows this without the bone grafting individual implants sometimes require.
